Zing Zang Zoom

Checkout Rohan's Interview with Dustin Portillo the Boss Clown!

Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus – Zing Zang Zoom

I took the family to see Zing Zang Zoom Wednesday night at the iZod Center in Rutherford, New Jersey. It was a lot of fun. There was a lot of excitement in the air. There was a pre-show that started at 6:30pm that allowed the audience to go up to the center ring and meet the performers. It is definitely worth going early and meeting the performers and taking pictures. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to interview Dustin Portillo, the boss clown before the pre-show. He is the nicest guy we ever meet. He took his time, made the kids feel comfortable and gave us a great interview. He seemed genuine. He reminded me of a cross between Jerry Lewis and Jim Carrey. With the right script and movie, I think he may have a great future in movies. Lookout Jim!

The show was two and half hours, with a 20 minute intermission that goes very fast. The show started at 7:30pm and ended at 10:00 pm. Their theme was gravity defying, death defying stunts which left the audience on the edge of their seats. The show left us satisfied, yet wanting to see it again. It didn’t feel too short or too long. The kids were up for the whole show and excitement carried over after the show. The tiger tamer has guts of steel! A couple of the tigers looked like they weren’t too happy, snarling at him. This kept the excitement level very high. I remember Gunther Gebel-Williams the lion tamer when I was a kid. There is a lot more I could write, but I don't want to give away too much of the show. This truly was the greatest show on earth! It will make you feel like a kid again.
